FAQ

The PRX-T33 Peel contains a combination of trichloroacetic acid, hydrogen peroxide and kojic acid. The peel penetrates deep and acts on the epidermal layer down to the basal layer, stimulating it to regenerate and renew. It is able to remove toughened skin without damaging the epidermis at all.

The PRX T33 biorevitalization peel is used to treat a number of skin imperfections, especially around the eye area, including:

  • Saggy puffy under-eye skin
  • Stretch marks
  • Scars
  • Skin laxity on the face & body
  • Melasma
  • Acne scars
  • Enlarged pores
  • Fine Lines and wrinkles
  • Dull skin

We recommend a series of 4 PRX T33 Peels spaced 1 week apart with semi-annual maintenance peels for long lasting results. The exact number of treatments vary and depend on what skin concerns our patients want to address.

Our skilled esthetician Ashley and our nurses will develop a customized skin treatment plan for each patient that desires to optimize skin health and beauty.

Here are some of the benefits of the PRXT33 Peel:

  • Suitable for all skin types
  • Painless treatment
  • Helps to strengthen the radiance and brightness of the skin
  • Immediate palpable firming
  • Immediate hydration of skin
  • Non-invasive skin tightening
  • It isn’t photosensitizing, so you can do it during any season
  • Immediate reults
  • No downtime – No bruising, redness, so you can get right back to your everyday life

The Biorevitalization Peel cost  for a package of 4 ranges between $996-$1200 for 4 peels, depending on seasonal offers.   We offer monthly specials, so be sure to check back frequently.

The peel itself only takes a few minutes and requires no numbing, however the skin is cleansed prior to the peel. Slight stinging may occur and redness is a common short term side-effect. After 2-3 days patients can expect peeling and flaking of the skin as dead skin cells are shed; however, soreness and irritation are not common side-effects of the Perfect Derma Peel. After about six days, your skin will stop flaking and you’ll notice a new layer of clear, smooth GLOWING skin.

Downtime is not necessary for most people having this treatment, but some people prefer to take a few days off of work for cosmetic reasons. Prolonged sun exposure should be avoided for a few weeks and mineral based sunscreen with SPF50 or higher should be worn daily. Remember that healing skin is more vulnerable and will burn more easily. We love Skinbetter Science Sunbetter products, ask us about Smart Tone SPF75, it is a wonderful SPF that matches all skin tones. Chemical Peels work best when repeated 3-4 times for best results. The exact number of treatments needed depends on skin goals, age, and what specific skin concerns our patients want to address.
